About Carbon Hosting

Carbon Hosting is the trade name of the operator of this service: the person who runs the machine, publishes the specs and prices, and reads the tickets.

What this is

Carbon Hosting rents game servers on one machine. The service exists to do a short list of things properly: plain prices in real currency, specs published with real numbers, support by ticket, and a status page that tells the truth.

The machine

The service runs today on one dedicated machine: Xeon E3-1270 v6, 4 cores and 8 threads at 3.8 to 4.2 GHz, 32 GiB RAM, 3.6 TB RAID. Nothing about the machine is hidden; its live status is on the status page.

How we work

  • Prices in plain currency: monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual numbers printed on the page, in USD.

  • Specs with numbers: RAM in GB, storage in GB, clock speeds in GHz, a unit on everything.

  • Honest status: the node's state is probed and printed, not promised.

  • Support by ticket: tickets are the primary channel, and the operator reads them.

Straight answers

Spec and price questions get honest answers by email through the contact form, and by ticket once a server of yours is live. Nothing on this page is promised for a date: what the pages print is what runs.
