Finding your server's address and port
GeneralYour server's connection details are two things: the address, and the port where a form asks for one. Both sit on your server's page in the panel, and every join starts from them.
What the details are
An address is the network path a game points at to reach your server. A port is a number that says which door on that path to use. Many game connection forms take the two as one line: address, a colon, then the port. Other forms split them into separate fields, and then the port stands alone with no suffix.
That pairing convention is the generic part, and it is hedged on purpose: forms differ, and this page makes no claim about any particular form's behavior. The exact values you type are the part this page does not invent at all: they come from your server's page, and they are what they are.
Why the port exists at all, in one honest sentence: one machine can be serving several different things at once, and the port is how traffic gets to the right one. The address carries your game to the machine; the port tells it which of the doors on that machine is yours. That is also why some forms want it as its own field: the two values do two different jobs.
Where they live
Your server's page in the panel shows the connection details players use. Log in at panel.carbonhosting.xyz, open your server's page, and read the connection details from there. Those are the values to use wherever a join form asks, for you and for anyone else you invite.
Copy them as shown, the way you would copy anything you hand to other people: the details belong to the server, so the values the page shows are the ones that work, and anything retyped by hand is where a join starts refusing for no visible reason.
What you hand to your players
The address, and the port where the join asks for one, is what you give the people you invite: it goes into their multiplayer list, and their game points at your world with it. Whoever you invite, this is the address they join through. The server's page is where that value lives, and the page is always the freshest copy of it by definition.
Java or Bedrock
Java Edition and Bedrock Edition join differently, and this page stays at the level of the connection details themselves; each edition's join flow is its own topic.
When something else wants a port
Some plugins want their own port. If one does, the extra port allocation addon covers it at 1.50 per month.
What this page deliberately leaves out
No region claims, no distance or latency numbers, and nothing about how many addresses exist: the details on your server's page are the details, and this page makes no claims beyond them. If a join form's fields and the panel's details ever do not line up, that is a question for a ticket, not a guess.
If you want a hand checking the details against a form: open a ticket from your account, name the form you are filling, and a person takes a look.
