How to join your Minecraft server with Lunar Client

Minecraft

In Minecraft Updated October 17, 2026

Lunar Client is a free community launcher for Java Edition players, and joining your server through it is a short, fixed walk: install the launcher, log in with your Minecraft account, match the game version, add your server by its address, and join.

What Lunar Client is, exactly

Lunar Client is a community launcher, built and shipped by a team outside our service. It aims at Java Edition players, it is free, and what the client actually does is the maker's page to state. This page stays at what joining takes, and claims nothing about the client's features beyond that.

What you need

  • The launcher, installed from the launcher's own site.
  • Your Minecraft account, the one you already play on.
  • Your server's address, read from your server's page in the panel.

The steps

  1. Get the launcher from its own site. Download the installer from the launcher's own website. That page is the source worth trusting; mirrors and shortcuts are not.
  2. Log in with your Minecraft account. The launcher signs you in with the account you already play on. It is the account that launches and the account that joins.
  3. Match the game version. Inside the launcher, use its version picker and take the build that matches your server's game version. The exact control name can move as the launcher updates, so we stay at the job, not the screen: client version and server version need to agree.
  4. Add your server. In the launcher's server area, add a server and give it your server's address, exactly as the panel shows it. We describe no launcher menus beyond this job: add a server, hand it the address, save it.
  5. Join. Pick the server from your list and join. If the world loads, you are in. If not, walk back up the steps, version match first.

Where your server's address lives

Your server's page in the panel shows the connection details players use. Log in at panel.carbonhosting.xyz, open your server's page, and read the connection details from there. The details belong to the server, not to any one client, so the launcher above and the default launcher both join with the same address.

The honest limits of this page

  • Lunar Client is made by others, not by us. Its updates, features, and screens follow their own schedule, and we make no claims for them. When the launcher differs from this page, the launcher's own documentation governs.
  • This page is Java Edition only. Bedrock joins differently, and Bedrock is not covered here.
  • Version fit matters: a client and server on different versions fail to join each other. Step 3 is where that gets fixed.
  • No client performance claims, no feature list, and no invented launcher screens sit in this page. The steps above and the panel address are the entire surface of it.

Still stuck on a join, an address, or anything else: open a ticket from your account with what you tried, and a person reads it.
